In the morning of March 29, 2019, the University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM cooperated with the University of Economics, Danang University to organize a National Scientific Conference "Identifying and developing beneficial economic sectors in the context of trade liberalization ”.
This is one of the scientific research cooperation activities within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between the two schools.

The objective of the conference is to create an academic forum for discussing, exchanging, analyzing, forecasting and identifying sectors which have developing advantages, period 2017 – 2025 in the context of Free trade agreement enforcement . Moreover, this is also an occasion for listening to recommendations, orientations, roadmaps and solutions in order to develop economic sectors with advantages and promote the process of industrialization and modernization of the country.
The workshop received 42 articles from researchers, scientists, policymakers of domestic universities and research institutes and 34 papers were published on the yearbook. The presentations focused on many different aspects of the workshop topic: the international background and the trend of trade liberalization; opportunities and challenges for Vietnam's economy; competitiveness in the context of implementing free trade agreements, and the impact of free trade agreements on Vietnam's economic structure in the 2017-2025 period; industries with Vietnam's development advantages in the period 2017-2025 in the context of integration; experience and successful lessons in identifying and developing economic sectors with advantages in the context of trade liberalization that can be applied to Vietnam.

National scientific workshop "Identifying and developing economic sectors with advantages in the context of trade liberalization" is also an opportunity for two universities to establish links to research networks of scientists. learners, managers, policymakers across the country.
