• Physical Sciences in top 801-1000;
• Engineering and Technology in top 601-800;
• Computer Sciences in top 601-800;
• Business and Economics top 601+;
• Life Sciences in top 601-800.
• The QS World Rankings 2020 list the top 1001 universities of 82 countries, and VNU-HCM is ranked in the 701-705 spots.
• Time Higher Education's (THE) 2020 University Rankings of Emerging Economies places VNU-HCM among the top 401 to 500.

In 2021

• Rankings by sciences subject field of THE evaluated VNU-HCM with a rank of Top 601+ in the field of Business and Economics.
• VNU-HCM ranks in the top 801-1000, in the Top 68% of the world's best universities by the QS World Rankings 2021
• THE magazine (UK) announced the Young University Rankings - Young University Rankings 2020 for the top 414 universities. Accordingly, VNU-HCM is the only representative of Vietnam in the top 351-400 best young universities in the world.
