On November 6th, 2021, the Graduation Ceremony of the 17th and the 21st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the University of Economics and Law with the aim to summarize, evaluate the training process in the whole 17th class as well as honor excellent students, was organized by UEL.
The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Vongphan Phomphiphack - Deputy Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City and Teachers of Party Committee, Univerisity Council, Board of Directors, Trade Union leaders, and Youth Union, Student Union, leaders of units under the University, Deans of Faculty and New masters, New bachelors are international students and international affiliate programs.
At the same time, the graduation ceremony of the 17th class and the 21st anniversary of the traditional day of the University of Economics and Law were also live streamed on the university's Facebook page.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Rector of the university said that the previous university year was a period with many difficulties in general for the whole country and for the education and training system in particular, due to its affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic. These difficulties and challenges, on the other hand, had further motivated the university and the learners in teaching, learning, and training.
Besides, University Rector also congratulated The New Masters and Bachelors of the 17th class for successfully completing their training program and deciding to graduate in 2021.
The institution welcomed 1,760 students to the University of Economics and Law during the K17 enrollment year. After a period of studying and training at UEL, 68 students from the 2017-2021 course finished before the deadline; 901 students, including 07 Lao students, were eligible to graduate in 2021; 01 students graduated with a dual degree, and 17 students were valedictorian.
The valedictorian of the graduation is Mr. Huynh Cong Truong (Faculty of Finance - Banking) who graduated with excellent grades with a GPA of 9.22 points. The salutatorian is graduating student Ms. Doan Trieu Huong Trinh (Faculty of Auditing - Accounting) with a GPA of 9.03.

Besides the bachelor's degree, the University has also cooperated with the Master's program in International Business Law since 2010 and has linked 11 training courses with using French as the primary language of instruction. At the ceremony, the university awarded degrees to 02 new masters of International Business Law Pantheon - Assas Paris II.
The UEL in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper hosted the Workshop "STUDENTS AND SMART FINANCIAL SKILLS IN REVOLUTION 4.0" on November 6, 2021, at 9.00 a.m., according to the online form on the Zoom Meeting platform. This program is part of a series of events "cashless day" organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, in collaboration with the Payment Department, Communication Department, State Bank of Vietnam.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Cong Gia Khanh - Vice-Rector of UEL, VNU-HCM, who attended the workshops, shared the benefits of cashless payment for students and exchanged with them.
The Workshop "STUDENTS AND SMART FINANCIAL SKILLS IN REVOLUTION 4.0" drew over 2700 participants and followers with helpful information and knowledge from smart personal financial management, as well as the opportunity to meet, listen to, and share knowledge from professionals.
